Essex Coastal Scenic Byway

The Essex Coastal Scenic Byway is 90 miles long
and links 14 coastal communities from Salisbury to Lynn. T
raveling through the town of Essex, the byway highlights scenic views and historic sites.

Essex National Heritage Area is a non-profit organization that works with communities in
helping conserve historic, cultural, and natural resources in the region.  This organization worked with stakeholders in these communities to develop the Essex Coastal Scenic Byway and make it a rich part of all 14 communities along its route. These communities and organizations have a
longstanding drive to protect our landscapes.
